College Preparatory Diploma

Eligibility: To be eligible for the College Preparatory Diploma a student must have a good attendance record, a good spirit of participation and achieve the minimum GPA scores as required by the school.

Requirements: minimum of 24 Carnegie Units including Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies, PE, Performing Arts, Arts, Modern Language, Ethics and 3 electives.  The student also needs to volunteer for a minimum of 20 hours per year of community service.

Advanced Placement Program (AP)

HCAS offers Advanced Placement (AP) courses to students, primarily in Grade 11 and Grade 12, who demonstrate the desire to work in a given subject at a level comparable to the first year of college. Exceptionally skilled and motivated 10th graders may pursue AP study in an area of demonstrated strength and accomplishment.

College Counseling

HCAS has professional counseling services to help students prepare for college. HCAS college counseling team will aid the students in determining which directions they might want to go in their higher education careers and will assist them in applying to universities of interest.

Each student will be given a personal study plan as a tracking record from G9 to G12.
